The administration has announced that when a vaccine is ready for distribution to the American public it will be free.  It appears that the vaccine when ready will need two doses several weeks apart and will need to be refrigerated.  They will need to do something about the Medicare rule that does not allow it to pay for experimental therapy.

California will now require employers to let their employees know any potential Covid exposure.  Also any worker with Covid will be presumed to have caught the disease at work unless the employer can prove otherwise. This qualifies people for worker's compensation if their workplace has four or more cases at a site within a 14 day period.

California's Governor signed legislation against the wishes of the CMA allowing NPs to practice independently in three years.          Top

OSHA has proposed a fine of $9,639 on Bergen New Bridge Medical Center for violations of respiratory protection standards.  They failed to fit masks on employees for Covid protection.  

Hospitals starting January 1 will be required to disclose the Medicare Advantage rates they have negotiated with Medicare.  Failure to do so may be denial of Medicare payments.

Colorado will soon revoke the license of Clear View Behavioral Health who has been under severe investigation.  The state immediately closed the facility.          Top
