If the media's prediction on the presidency holds up under a court challenge it will be interest sting to see if there are changes to the policies of HHS and its branches.  A new rule by CMS states that most private health plans will be required to publicly disclose pricing and cost share information starting in January 2023.  

HHS has now partnered with regional pharmacy chains to give Covid vaccines when they are available.  Walgreeens, CVS, Walmart, Kroger and Costco have all signed up.  These will be free to the patients.

The California Department of Managed Care has fined Anthem Blue Cross $1.2 million for not implementing IMR determinations for authorizations of medically necessary services.  There were tow cases of gender services that were initially denied by Anthem an were overturned by the state IMR process.  The authorizations came many weeks or months after the IMR determination, well over the mandated fie days.        Top
