Over 2400 mental health workers went on strike against Kaiser Permanente in So Cal over their workload and staffing shortages. The HMO has always been understaffed in the mental health field. There have been several strikes in the past in Northern California for the same problem. Top
The physicians as well as other providers voted to authorize a strike against Providence Women's Clinic and Providence St. Vincent Hospital. If they go through with it it would be the first doctor's strike in Oregon history.
The surgeons at the University of Virginia and UVA Health were pressured by the university to upcode. A new audio recording of a meeting last year where this happened has been taken forward. They were told to use RVS code 99291 which says they spend longer times with critical care services. This has led to the surgeons petitioning for the removal of the UVA CEO and the dean of the school of medicine. The UVA president stupidly defended the two miscreants. The Board is investigating. The surgeons will not speak to the investigators without attorneys. Smart!. Top
