Envision, the company that thinks they are above the state laws of corporate practice of medicine is going bankrupt.  If and when they do the ED physicians in California will still continue with their suit.  They have not asked for monetary damages but declaratory relief.  They want the courts to declare them persona non grata for their flaunting the state laws.

Hospitals

Envision ( see above) has been dropped from a Wisconsin health system.  Froedtert Health has dropped the group after Envision could not settle their differences with UnitedHealth.

I do not understand why a nurse would want to work at a hospital that does not value them.  Nine nurses at Clara Maass Medical Center were suspended for delivering a petition to a supervisor over the firing of another nurse.  The supervisor felt threatened and so the nurses were suspended.  This is a ploy due to a union negotiation on an initial contract.  The hospital is playing hardball and will continue to do so to the nurses.

New York is finding out what will happen in the future if all physicians are employees.  The unionized physicians at Elmhurst went on strike for equal pay and after three days won an increase in pay starting immediately and continuing.  At the same time two other Mount Sinai hospital physicians authorized a strike to be dome if the hospital does not increase their pay as well.

Mount Sinai Bet Israel Hospital is also under fire but for something completely different.  The apparently knew that Dr. Ricardo Crucinani, was a bad apple but since he was a big driver of money tended to ignore the problem.  He was accused of abusing patients and then killed himself at Rikers Island jail.  This is not unusual for a hospital to do to preserve their income and prestige.  They lie and cheat to keep their monies comining.  They also do the same to get rid of any competitors to those who they want to protect.
