The administration has signed a contract to create the nation's first
strategic stockpile to make meds. This iwll allow the nation to make some
meds if there is a shortage in an emergency. This is a start to bring
manufacturing back to American shores.
The administration has announced a plan to reconfigure emergency gear to
be able to provide a 90 day supply inc case of an emergency.
North Carolina has a new law limiting
liability for all acts and omissions by all health care entities and providers
during the Covid emergency. This does not include gross negligence.
Act resulting from shortages are not considered gross negligence.
