The Senate has passed a huge spending bill that includes some compromises for the medical profession.  The Medicare pay cut of 4.5% is now changed to a 2% cut but with 3.5 pay raise in 2024.  They also agreed to allow states to be able to remove people form the Medicaid roles now that before they could not do until the feds lifted the Covid emergency declaration.  Telehealth will be extended for an additional two years.  The director of the CDC will now require senate confirmation.  The FDA will now be able to regulate the cosmetic industry.          Top
