Britain's NICE has not approved the breast cancer drug Ibrance because it is too expensive. Be thankful you do not live in this country. New Jersey now has a law that requires physicians to discuss addiction when prescribing opiods to minors. The legislature is also poised to pass legislation that would require insurers to cover both inpatient and outpatient treatment for dug addiction. The proposed law also would require continuing ed for those prescribing opiods and limit opiod prescriptions to five days unless chronic pain or cancer. Top California has surprised 52,000 vocational nurses and psychiatric techs with the need to prove they have taken the mandatory classes for their licenses. This is one third of those licensed. It will take the Board forever to process the information. Top
