Under the No Surprise Act recently passed by Congress, ALL PHYSICIANS and other providers are required to provide good faith estimates to ALL uninsured and self pay patients, which includes patients that have insurance but prefer to self pay.  This must be provided within three (3) business days of scheduling the services as long as the service is scheduled at least ten (10) business days in advance.  If scheduled between three and ten business days in advance then the notice must be given within one (1) business day.  If there are multiple providers involved , such as surgery , facility and anesthesia, the "convening provider , surgeon, must obtain estimates from all providers.
