The administration is planning to sock it to the big bad hospitals who do not post teir prices.  Currently the fine for the laggards is $!09,500 for the large ones.  The new fines will go up to $2 million per year.

The HHS signed a renewal of the public health emergency determination.  This is good for an additional 90m days.

Texas has passed a law that goes into effect on September 1.  The law takes away the insurance companies ability to force physicians with good track records from getting prior approvals.  If 90 percent of their medical services were deemed medically necessary they will not need prior authorization.  This is good not only for the physicians but also for the patients.                Top
