Tennessee's Blues has decided to make telehealth a permanent coverage.  This includes telephone and video.  The kicker is that the providers will have to pay for part of the costs of the virtual service.

In Florida a woman states she was fired for refusing to manipulate Covid data.  Rebekah Jones said she created two apps as well as other items for the state and then was fired.  She said she did this on her own and didn't get paid for it.  

In a recent study it was found that about half of the Covid antibody tests are wrong .  Also almost half of Americans have delayed getting medical care due to the virus.  It was also found that about one third of people have clinical anxiety or depression.  With the stay at home orders how could this not be?          Top

Sutter Health saw a huge loss in th first quarter of over $1 billion.  This was due to th California Shelter in Place orders and the lack of elective surgery.  They also had a $500 million loss on investments.  

The University of Michigan has a problem with its residents.  They want a new contract and are not happy with the offered one.  

Seattle Children's Hospital can not get rid of its mold problem.  Again it has found Aspergillis in the operating rooms.  This has been for almost twenty years.  

In what is probably for the best, Beumont and Summa Health systems have cancelled their merger.  Neither system is worth much.

What does it feel like when you are fighting a pandemic with reused gowns and your hospital is donating gowns to your state?  That is what happened at Steward Health  in Massachusetts.  The publicity stunt was not well received.          Top

Los Angeles based Prospect Medical Group announced they have added three IPAs in the SoCal areas.  This doubles the size of the physician group to 20,000 strong.          Top
