The administration has announced a program to provide free HIV prevention meds to the uninsured.  This is from a donation program from Gilead.  

The administration had put in a rule limiting immigration benefits for those who utilize federal food stamps or Medicaid.  This was blocked by the lower courts but the 9th Circuit overturned the preliminary injunctions.  Since lower judges in other  jurisdictions have also issued injunctions the rules nationwide still hold.

MedPac wants to freeze any pay increase for physicians and ambulatory surgical centers in 2021.  They also want a smaller rate increase for hospitals.  

Congress is poised to ass a law that will allow military personnel to sue for med mal in a special military court.  The Feres Doctrine named for a WWII vet who's family sued for negligence after he was killed in a barracks fire and lost a Supreme Court case in 1950.   The ruling was an active duty could not sue the military.          Top
